Against the backdrop of the dazzling Swiss Alps, the 2026 edition of the St. Moritz Snow Polo World Cup is poised to surpass the 30.000-spectator mark, building on its legacy as Europe’s premier winter polo event. The most exclusive tickets are already sold out.

The frozen expanse of Lake St. Moritz will once again provide the iconic stage for this unique global spectacle. A highlight of the January social calendar, the 2026 program (Friday, January 23 to Sunday, January 25) extends beyond world-class polo to include luxury brand parades and thrilling cross-country ski races, having attracted approximately 27.000 visitors last year.

Since its inaugural tournament in 1985, the Snow Polo World Cup has remained the only event of its kind. Reto Gaudenzi, the founder and CEO of the event, highlighted the immense logistical effort, noting that over 150 horses will be transported from across the continent to compete.

The organization has implemented comprehensive measures focused on the safety and well-being of all participants, including the horses, players, and spectators.

Tickets are available for purchase online, with prices ranging from $24 for general admission to $1.120 for the most premium lakeside lounges. However, opportunity is fleeting: tickets for the Opening Gala, priced at approximately $1,900, have sold like hotcakes, and the waiting list continues to grow. Organizers recommend securing your seats promptly to avoid disappointment and ensure your place at the world’s most exclusive snow polo event.
